Fiat Releases Freemont Presentation Video

For all those who have missed the chance to see the the Fiat Freemont, the result of the partnership between the Italian group and Chrysler, at the recent auto show in Geneva last month, the new crossover is now being revealed in a presentation video that you can watch below this article.

The vehicle is built on the base of the Dodge Journey, coming mostly as a family vehicle. Set to go on sale in June on the European market, the Freemont is revealed by a complete walkaround that will mostly show  a few interior and exterior differences as compared with the Dodge Journey (the U.S. model upon which the Freemont is based on).

As you already know, the Toluca factory in Mexico will in charge with the manufacturing process of the vehicle.

If you are interesting in buying such a vehicle, we can tell you that there are two trim levels, with prices to start at €25,700 about $37,000 at current exchange rates) for the base equipment package. Meanwhile, the better equipped Urban version will cost cost €27,200 (about $39,000).

At launch, the only version available will come with front-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter MultiJet diesel engine that produces either 140 hp as standard or 170 hp, for an extra €1,500 (about $2,150). All-wheel drive will be offered at a later date, in combination with the 170 hp 2.0 MultiJet and a 276 hp 3.6-liter petrol V6 (produced by Chrysler), both mated to automatic transmissions.

In terms of safety, the Freemont will come fitted with 7 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill-Holder and electronic roll mitigation (ERM) as standard on all vehicles.
