Fiat Could Close Two Plants in Italy

Now, Automotive News reports that Fiat might have to close two of its plants in Italy if plans to materialize cars to the US don’t materialize.
We have everything needed to seize the opportunity to work competitively also for the U.S. market," Marchionne told Italian daily Corriere della Sera. "If it doesn't happen, then we will have to close down two of the five plants."
It’s not yet clear what sort of cars are to be exported from Italy from the US. However, the Giulietta could be one of them, and the Jeep B-SUV is another. But those two might still be two years away from making it across the pond.
