Fiat’s success in Brazil and Argentina is well-documented and very obvious. They have many specific models, which just work in both of the aforementioned countries, as well as the smaller surrounding nations. However, it is Brazil where Fiat shines the most, and 2012 has been an excellent year for them, in terms of sales.
In an official statement released on Thursday, Fiat said that it sold 838,219 passenger and light vehicles throughout the whole of last year, marking a 11.1% increase over 2011, when they sold 754,276 units in total. It also represents a 10.2% increase over the previous record, when in 2010 they sold a total of 760,495.

Fiat exceeded the natural growth figure of the entire Brazilian market, which grew by 6.1% to 3,634,510 deliveries in 2012.

Along with this sales record, however, they have also set a new all-time production record, building 12.5% more cars than in 2011 - 759,000 in total.
