Geneva is one of the most expensive cities in Europe. So a couple of posh new Fiats from the south are going to be popular. Both the sporty 500S facelift and the 124 Rally model play to the strength of the Italian brand, giving off an effervescent 100% European vibe.
The 500S used to be sold only in America, where it bridged the gap between the regular 500 and the Abarth model. It's been brought over to Geneva with some cosmetic updates, but the hot little car you think it is.

Instead, we're getting a body kit that's similar to the Abarth facelift that can be optioned with cheaper and more efficient engines. These include the 1.3-liter MultiJet II rated at 95 horsepower.

This diesel engine features the latest fuel-saving technologies, so it's able to consume as little as 3.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (969 mpg). But you do pay the price regarding performance, as 0 to 100 km/h sprints take 10.7 seconds, and the top speed is only 180 km/h (111 mph).

The 500S trim level gets a special new bumper, integrated fog lights with LED rings, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. The coolest features are the verticle fins on the edge of the bumper and the chrome exhaust tips.

15- and 16-inch alloys painted in Satin Graphite are unique to this model. The 500S can be ordered in all the regular colors plus Metallic Azure or Alpine Green. Inside, the Uconnect 7" HD LIVE touchscreen with HD display is offered as standard. As options, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital radio (DAB) and 3D integrated TomTom sat-nav can be added. The seats are done in black colored leather with accents to match the body color.

Also making its debut in Geneva is the first racing version of the new roadster model, called 124 Rally. It will compete starting next year and features some rather extreme upgrades, including auxiliary lights, a solid roof, roll cage, air scoops, and raised suspension.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
