Fiat 500L Commercial: The Motherhood Rap

Usually when a new car comes out, they will it with young, attractive people and send it round a racing track or to a really scenic location. Selling the lifestyle is one thing, but carmakers are realizing there’s a disconnect between this and reality.
Skoda already has a cool dad to promote the Rapid, but Fiat’s “MOM4LIFE” is on a whole other planet of coolness.

Fiat UK has released a music video in which a stylish young mum raps about the reality of messy, noisy and hyper kids. If you plan on conceiving one any time soon, then don’t watch this because it will put you off.

“We wanted to connect with our target audience, starting with dynamic young mums, in a way that demonstrated our understanding of the challenges they face balancing motherhood with their desire to keep hold of their pre-children identity,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK.

“We hope that by dramatising the reality of becoming a new mum in this way, we will raise a knowing smile from mums everywhere, and we are sure that they will recognise how the Fiat 500L can bring a touch of on-trend glamour into their lives,” she continued.
