Fiat 500C Available from 16,600 Euro

Italian manufacturer Fiat has today announced the newest addition to the 500 range, the 500C, is available for order at all Fiat dealerships. Deliveries are set to begin in July, at a starting price of 16,600 euro. For the top 1.4l 100 horsepower Rock version, prices can reach 20,800 euro.

"July is the month of the 500. It was in July when Fiat launched the first 500 in 1957 while today, two years after the debut of the new 500, we unveil the cabriolet version," Lorenzo Sistino, Fiat Automobiles CEO said.

The 500C comes in two trim levels, Lounge and Rock. The first comes equipped with seven airbags, climate control, parking sensors and Blue&Me, while the upper trim, the Rock, adds leather interior and xenon lights.

Engine wise, the 500C uses three powerplants: the 1.3 liter 75 hp Multijet Turbodiesel coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission, a 1.2 liter 69 hp and 1.4 liter 100 hp gasoline engines, available with either manual or Dualogic transmission. It also makes use of a start-stop system.

Being a convertible, one of its most important features is the roof. Available in three colors (ivory, red and black), the roof is powered by a full electric drive. It will combine with the two specially conceived body colors available for the car, Perlato Bright Red and Gray Warm, to maintain the retro yet playful look of the 500.

"The car can fit comfortably four people, while maintaining unmodified the space and stability. In other words, it ensures the maximum amount of safety and has the same consumption figures as the sedan version. The 500C is thus a comfortable and functional convertible, to be used every day and in all seasons," added the CEO.
