We haven't seen that many fur or velvet wrapped cars lately, leading us to believe that the idea has been forgotten. But it hasn't; it just moved from Europe to South America.
This Fiat 500 was recently photographed in the multistory car park of an Argentinean mall. No details are available about the owner or the idea behind the project, but it probably has something to do with making it look like a labrador.
Everybody around the office says it looks exactly like the Mutts Cutts car from Dumb and Dumber. It doesn't have ears or a wet nose, but we still want to give it a hug and a gentle pet on the roof. Who's a good little Fiat? Yes, you are. Yes, you are.
The 500 was only recently launched in Argentina and costs 197,300 pesos, about $22,000. That means this is quite the premium item, so we're surprised to see it covered in fur, which could leave glue marks after the wrap is removed. Washing it probably isn't straightforward either.
Mind you, Mutts Cutts was based on a van, which allowed Dumb and Dumber to pick up all the hitchhikers they wanted to. But we'd be surprised if the lady doing her shopping at the Feria Puro Diseno in this thing can fit all her new shoes.
As Argentina Auto Blog points out, this isn't the girliest car ever made. We've seen a Russian student by the name Daria Radionova cover her Mercedes CLS in Swarovski crystals a short while ago.
