Ferrari has been declared the world's most powerful brand in a Global 500 survey which analyzed the financial and brand performance of several major companies.
Despite being smaller and less valuable than other rival, Ferrari achieved the highest rating in the "Most Powerful Brand" category with a value of only $3.6 billion.
Ferrari was the only car manufacturer in Global 500's Top 5, along with Google ($52.1 billion in value), Coca Cola ($34.2 billion), PwC ($16.4 billion) and Hermes ($4.5 billion).
"It is always a pleasure to top any list and still more so when the competition includes some of the world's most famous companies,” Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo said in a statement. “This achievement proves that even in very tough economic times, Italy can still offer the world businesses of excellence."
The Maranello company recorded a net profit of $2.36 million last year.
