Ferrari FF GT Sports Car Unveiled Ahead of Geneva

If we were in the early days of newspapers, when they were the primary method of delivering the news, we would now be out on the street shouting "Extra! Extra! Read all about it!". Yes, it’s that big! Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari had just released initial details and images of the 612’s successor, the FF.

Set to make its world public debut at the forthcoming auto show in Geneva this March, the all-new Ferrari FF was designed by Pininfarina, showing an entirely new GT sports car concept.

The FF is an acronym for Ferrari Four, which means it is the company’s most powerful four-seat ever, as well as its first ever four-wheel drive car.

Ferrari’s exclusive, patented 4RM (four-wheel drive) weighs 50 percent less than a conventional four-wheel drive system, maintaining perfect weight distribution. As far as dimensions, the car is 4,9 m long, 1,95 m wide, 1,37 m high and weighs a total 1,790 kg.

Powered by a 6,262cc direct injection V12 engine, the Ferrari FF develops 660 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 683 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, which is enough to make the Pracing Horse's shooting brake accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. The Ferrari FF is capable of reaching a top speed of 335 km/h.

The FF is also equipped with the latest magnetorheological damping system (SCM3), as well as the most recent development in carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo.

Ferrari’s latest GT sports car will be available in six model-specific exterior colors and an interior trim incorporating specially selected and treated aniline leather. Pricing for the Ferrari FF is yet to be announced.
