Ferrari Demanded Deadmau5 to Lose the Nyan Wrap

And just when you thought there are no rules and prestige left in the way luxury automakers handle they’re babies, "bam", it hits you. It seems that Canadian DJ Deadmau5 removed the famous Nyan Cat wrap off his Ferrari 458 because the Italians actually told him to and not because of a strange wish he suddenly had.
We did already tell you that Zimmerman recently got his Nyan Cat wrap removed. He even wrote on his Twitter account “RIP Purrari.” The funny thing is, the decision was not his own desire, rather than Ferrari’s. It would seam the Italians were not so pleased with the custom badges and associated floor mats on Deadmau5’s 458 Italia. So Ferrari North America sent the Canadian a cease and desist letter to have the custom emblems removed.

Of course, Deadmau5 did not enjoy the letter he got from the lawyer and brag about it on Twitter: “I wonder if the jackass lawyer at Ferrari USA who sent us a ‘cease and desist’ letter over the purrari is un-butthurt now that I unwrapped.”

Even though Zimmerman didn’t say whether the wrap and badge were removed because of Ferrari, or it was already like that before he got the letter, now we’re pretty sure he’s going to sell it. He later explained: “Yeah it was mostly about the custom floor matts and the custom purrari badges. Whatever. It’s just a normal ass 458 now. All good.
