Ferrari California Gets Supercharged by CDC Performance

While the Ferrari California is undoubtedly a fast car, some have argued that it is not quick enough, especially compared to any of the other cars in the Italian manufacturer’s range. The power of the 4.3-liter V8 engine was increased from the factory by 30 hp, in 2012 as part of a new model-year update.
Still, even with the power increase, the California doesn`t break the 500 hp barrier, being just 20 hp short of it. However, there’s nothing a good supercharger kit can`t cure, and the car has received one courtesy of CDC Performance.

It pushes power up to 600 hp, while torque increases as well, from 505 Nm (372 lb-ft) to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). It also gets a remapped ECU, an intercooler, as well as a valve to alter the noise level of the engine.

Aside from the engine upgrades, the car also gains new springs as well as an extensive exterior makeover, which adds lots of carbon fiber bits all-round. Finishing off the look are the 21-inch rims on the front, which grow to 22 inches on the back, where the tires are 315-section, for added grip.
