If there’s one thing we really love about these Aussies is their humor. Basically anything these people create has that particular touch. It’s a subtle, yet simple smile they’ll put on your face no matter how upset you are. That’s what Captain Risky character is supposed to do since he’s promoting an insurance company.
The video is the creation of Australian ad agency 303Lowe and stands as an entertaining advertorial for insurance company Budget Direct. Envisioned as a fearless daredevil named Captain Risky, the main character is seen failing all of his stunts, thus turning them into one heck of a laugh.
From wrongly jump diving, to pretending that he’s able to drive a Formula 1 car, the hilarious stunt-maker is seen missing all the great stuff because of his lack of talent. Captain Risky goes further on his adventure as he is seen dangling from a helicopter and driving a car without a steering wheel.
However, it’s not only the four-wheelers that find the so-called daredevil in trouble with every performance he fails to accomplish, since he even tries to ride a dirt bike but ends up crashing through the windows of the school bus he was supposed to jump over. The whole point of the clip is that some people really live a dangerous life, thus need insurance.
Even though we rather think of our car insurance whenever we plan to invest some money in our own well being rather than actually buying a life insurance, this ad would sure turn us into a customer.
