After having commenced an interesting ad campaign, to boost their popularity, and launched the cheapest car in Britain, Suzuki strike yet again, with the UK launch of the freshly facelifted Splash, available from £7777. While you will be hard-pressed to spot the cosmetic changes, you can rest assured, as the 2012 car does get redesigned front and rear bumpers and grille, as well as an updated interior.
As with its other models, Suzuki is offering the Splash in three trim levels, SZ2, SZ3 and, of course, SZ4. The most basic version gets audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, MP3 player and electric front windows. Next trim level up, the SZ4, gives you air-con, and the top of the range version. the SZ4 gets ESP, tinted windows, keyless entry and start, as well as 15-inch alloys.

The new car is powered by the same engine range as the non-facelifted car, with the 1.0-liter 68hp and 1.2-liter 93 hp units being the only choices. Both offer excellent economy and emissions figures (none under 100 g/km CO2, though), with the smaller engine being predictably more efficient, being rated at 4.7 l/100km (60.1 mpg) and 109 g/km of CO2, with the larger unit using marginally more fuel, as it is rated at 5.09 l/100km (55.4 mpg) and a CO2 rating of 118g.
