F1 Closes its Doors for Two Weeks
First to close their doors this year were McLaren, who did so immediately after the Hungarian Grand Prix and were swiftly followed by Red Bull. The other teams (Ferrari, Mercedes, Force India, Lotus, Williams, Sauber, Caterham, HRT and Marussia) have decided to go on vacation (probably) for the same 14 day period, but for a period of 14 day sretching from August 6th to August 20th.
In this 14 day period, teams will not be doing anything whatsoever. This means no testing, no meetings, no tech development - absolutely nothing. We say taking time off is very important, because productivity is much higher after an extended break, such as this.
