Excellent Old Presentation of the Classic Citroen DS [Video]

We have made our love of the old, classic Citroen DS all too clear and thus, further comments are redundant. However we had yet to find a proper presentation for the car - one that would do it justice. Well, ex-Top Gear presenter Qentin Wilson, who used to also present his very own show about classic cars, called ‘The Car’s the Star’, a show which first aired in 1993, has something you need to see about the DS.

Of course one of the episodes was about the DS, as it genuinely defines and represents the era at the same time. This video presentation is the first one we’ve seen in a while that does justice to the real importance of the car. Quentin Wilson seems properly passionate about the car and he sheds light on how the car was received, why it didn’t sell well in Britain.

We were also surprised to find out that the DS is in fact the first car to have smart cruise control, with one of the test drivers of the program stating that he had driven the DS “for hundreds of miles without touching the steering wheel”. We thoroughly recommend it for everybody who enjoys the excellent cars of the 1960s.
