EVA Diesel 2009 Track T-800Cdi Will Not Offer 2WD

Several days ago we released a news article about TRACK T-800 Cdi from EVA, in which we specified that the motorcycle was the first diesel-powered, 2WD motorcycle. Apparently our sources were wrong and the company was not offering 2WD in 2009. Our misinformation was clarified by the motorcycle's manufacturer itself.

The 800cc, in-line 3 engine, produced by Daimler, can run on standard diesel, bio-diesel or any other type of vegetal oil. The 33kW/45 bhp in-line three engine offers 100 Nm of torque at 1800 rpm. The CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) is required in order to sustain the engine at low RPM, which is a significant factor in the fuel economy of 2.5 l/100 km of vegetal oil or 2.1 l/100 km standard diesel in a standard traveling conduit with a constant speed of 90 km/h. This motorcycle is using a shaft drive system similar to other bikes in its class.

Weighing 225 kg, this motorcycle can offer an autonomy of approximately 1000 km with slightly lower upkeep costs than a conventional motorbike.

EVA Track t-800CDi 2009 can reach a maximum speed of 175 km/h and can accelerate up to 100 km/h in just 3.75 seconds. The motorcycle is equipped with an inverted fork system produced by WP, 310mm double disc brakes on the front wheel and 265mm on the back wheel, a single-sided swingarm, 21” Excel tire on the front, and a 17” on the back.

The price of this motorcycle for 2009 was set by the manufacturer to 17,500 Euros. TRACK T-800CDI is supposed to impresses with fuel efficiency and a high engine lifespan, as the manufacturer specified.

Speaking of two wheel drive, there are several 2WD systems on the market and can be applied to almost any motorcycle. Such a system relies on hydraulic components to transfer power from the slipping back wheel to the front wheel.
