Euro-Spec 2015 Mustang Delivery Dates: July for Europe, October for the UK

When the Blue Oval announced that its 2015 Mustang would be made available on the Old Continent as well, a lot of gearheads and potential customers in Europe were like “Is this for real? After five generations, FoMoCo finally did the right thing?”

It took Ford nearly 50 years to adapt its iconic pony to European specifications yet it happened, and the Blue Oval is pretty enthusiastic about this. A new release mentions that the 2015 Ford Mustang is “the fastest accelerating Ford coupé ever offered in Europe.”

4.8 seconds to 100 km/h (62 mph) for the Coyote V8-powered GT model isn’t exactly impressive for a two-door sports car, but the Mustang has an advantage over its rivals - the truly competitive pricing.

For the 2.3-liter EcoBoost with the six-speed manual, you’re paying only €35,000. If the 5-liter Coyote V8’s rumble is more like it, that will cost you €40,000 in fastback format with the manual.

Bang for the buck, not even the Nissan 370Z can put its money where its mouth is. This is what I find most impressive about the Euro-spec Ford Mustang, more so when you consider that the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger aren’t sold on that side of the pond.

Production for the European and right-hand drive 2015 Ford Mustang will start this summer at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. As standard, European customers get amenities such as dual-zone climate control, automatic xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, 19-inch wheels and a sporty rear diffuser.

Delivery dates? July for mainland Europe, October for the UK.
