The wait for the 2014 EBR 1190RX will soon be over, as Erik Buell Racing announced that the bike will be presently available from March. And to make things even cooler, EBR mentions that over 60 dealerships across the US will receive the new machine in the fist month of spring.
In case you wonder whether EBR will offer the all-new 1190RX in sufficient quantities, rest assured, it will. And that is because Erik Buell is forced to comply with the World Superbike regulations for homologation.
That is, produce a certain amount of machines from which the 2014 WSBK model is derived. And since present regulations, though subject to change a bit, see 1,000 units built by the end of the season, you can figure out for yourselves that EBR is also willing to sell as much as possible.
The 2014 1190RX delivers 102 lb-ft (138.4 Nm) of torque @8,200 rpm and 185 hp, and will arrive with a base price of $18,995 (€13,925) in the US. No word on the European 1190RX price, but it is expected soon.
