After raising the bar in the business of electric bicycles, Danish designer team Hanebrink enters the world of electric motorcycles with their Hustler X5.

While this movement was a rather expected one, especially after the success of their all-terrain electric bike, the new creation seem to be a very serious competitor for the rest of the bike with already established positions in the e-market.

The Hustler X5 looks like any decent sport bike should: flowing lines and a smooth, rounded track-ready fairing. But the first thing which makes heads turn is the huge fat wear slick wheel, simply screaming ultra-fast corners on any race track.

This bike also comes with dual power modes: Legal and Competition, and a bicycle-inspired 14-speed shifter which looks out of this world, at least for such a machine. The Hanebrink Hustler X5 weighs a staggering 54.4 kg (120 lbs) and the producer claims it will do 200 miles (322 km) on a single charge, and a top speed of 129 km/h (80 mph).

No data on the installed battery or engine is available but as Hanebrink announced the first sales starting at the end of 2013's first quarter, we're surely going to get some light in this aspect. Rumored price is somewhere around $16,940 (€13,025). Now if the real range is consistent with the advertised one, Zero's going to have a problem. And the others, as well.
