Engineering Explained Mixes 2017 Subaru BRZ, Mazda Miata, Fiat 124, Honda S2000

We can never truly escape our early teachers - here's an idea that also applies to reviewing cars and the latest example of this comes from an Engineering Explained-delivered four-way sportscar comparo.

Jason decided to expand the now-usual comparison involving the 2016 Mazda Miata and the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider (here's the latest example of such a tale), also including the 2017 Subaru BRZ.

And this is where the detail mentioned in the intro steps in - as those of you following the YouTuber's stories know, he owns a Honda S2000, so he decided to also include this on the list, turning the adventure into a four-car adventure.

You shouldn't fret about the S2k's name being present, since we do get a fair review here, as the downsides of the two-seater Honda are also mentioned. And, as anybody whose done their homework on the matter knows, these aren't exactly easy to look past.

According to the channel's name, we get a display of number-infused driving, with the man talking from the driver's seat of the 2017 BRZ. And while some of you might have gotten bored of the usual hp and torque figures that show up everywhere, you should know this clip also talks redline and gearing. Did we mention the steering ratio?

Did we mention there's a pinch of drifting involved? Perhaps this is the part many heavy YouTubers dream about, with the shenanigan coming at th3 5:45 point. Oh, the snowy joy!

This rear-wheel-drive adventure doesn't end once you reach the final section of the video

This four-way brawl leaves the door open for future Engineering Explained talks, especially since, as the YouTuber... explains, it doesn't involve the Abarth incarnation of the new 124, nor does it talk about the manual version of the Fiat roadster, so you should be prepared for some more sportscar chat moments.
