Being the Emir of Qatar means that your holiday is infinitely more complicated that most people's vacations and we're here to show you what that means from a Monaco car spotting point of view.
The Emir has recently been spotted arriving in the city-state with his family and getting around was anything but simple. The piece of footage below allows us to see the the Qatar ruler's convoy, which is built around his sumptuous Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine, but also involves the French Police.

Even without the other cars, getting the Grand Limousine, which is 39 inches (1 meter) longer than a standard Mulsanne, if we may call the Bentley flagship so, through the narrow and traffic-loaded streets of Monaco is anything but facile - the elongated lavish machine measures 21.6 feet (make that 6,575 mm, you metric system aficionados) in length.

While the piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows us to see the slow, but steady progress of the convoy, we'll focus on the Crewe creation before inviting you to hit the "play" button.

Being engineers and hand-built by the automaker's Mulliner arm, the Grand Limousine is one of the few examples of what a coach built effort means nowadays. The 1-meter wheelbase extension mentioned above isn't the only interior dimension boost, as the luxurious behemoth also adds 3.11 inches (79 mm) of headroom in the rear.

The limousine can accommodate up to six people, offering four club-style layout (face-to-face) seats behind the divider that separates the rear of the vehicle from the driver and front passenger's area. As for the veneers and leather inside this vehicle, they are nothing short of a delight for the senses. And since we mentioned modern features, we can tell you the electrochromic glass separator can go from clear to opaque at the touch of a button.

Now back to that Monaco transportation adventure...
