We are always happy when a baby tuning project is born and we want to share this joy with you. Elite Tuners of Canada have made their first appearance at the 2011 2011 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, introducing two projects, as worldcarfans reports.
The aftermarket specialist is offering the Top Tuner 5 for the Chevrolet Corvette and the Top tuner 5.5 for the Chevrolet Cruze, with the developments being the 5th round of project vehicles developed in cooperation with General Motors Canada. In this piece of news, we’ll concentrate in the pumped-up ‘Vette.
The starting point for the project was a Corvette C6, which has received incredible performance tuning, becoming a true road demon. The work, which lasted for four months, started under the hood, where a LSX 376 Crate Motor from GM Performance, which uses a Pro Charger F1R supercharger, was installed. The unit delivers 933 hp and a peak torque of 700 lb-ft (949 Nm).
To be able to handle the extra muscle, the Corvette was fitted with a racing suspension coming from Standard Suspension, while its stock rims were swapped with a set of iForged Legacy V2 rims (20-inch front and 21-inch rear) that uses super-wide Pirelli tires (285/25 front and 375/20 rear). The car also comes with a matching stopping power, as it uses a Baer Performance Big Brake System.
The Corvette comes with a widebody kit, also using APR Performance carbon fiber elements and rear spoiler, while its interior mixes racing-inspired elements such as a roll cage, with top ICE goodies, like a Pioneer sound system.
