The EICMA show, which takes place in Milan this week is though the perfect venue for the iconic bike maker to make a stand and showcase both old and new bikes to the European public. Among the bikes displayed by Harley, the Electra Glide comes as a great choice for adventurers.
Being created by Harley in several versions, the Electra Glide Ultra Limited features an air-cooled Twin Cam 103 engine with 2-1-2 dual exhaust. The engine develops 102 ft.-lbs. at 3,500 rpm and does 54 miles to the gallon in highway driving conditions (4.3l/100 km).
The console of the touring features new gauges with titanium appearance, while a LED system backlighting it allows the rider to get a better view of all the things the Harley has to say. The hand grips for the bike are heated.
The new model features, as standard, equipment levels which were previously found just as accessories on regular-production Harley-Davidson Touring models. The Tour-Pak is a must, including luggage rack and luggage liners with dual zippers and side pockets.
In the US, the model is retailing from $24,699 (EUR17,637). The model is part of Harley's lineup of nine models announced back in 2009, which include the Road Glide Custom, Street Glide Trike, Street Glide and the Sportster line (which comprises a line of six models).
