Ecclestone Reveals Nightmare When Mugged

Bernie Ecclestone shared his first impressions to the media following the robbery he and his girlfriend Fabiana Flosi have been victims of last week, in central London. After a nice evening out with Fabiana, the F1 boss headed back to Formula One Holdings headquarters on Princes Gate, Knightsbridge. Once he got out of the car, some individuals rushed to “lay into him” without any prior notice.

Once on the ground, Ecclestone was punched in the face repeatedly, while jewelry was stolen from both him and Flosi. Describing the experience, the 80-year old Englishman said he would have gladly handed over the jewelry to the assailants, as force was not needed, stupid and uncalled for.

It was a good whacking,” said Ecclestone in a recent interview with the Daily Express. “I drove, as I often do, and we had just got out of the car when suddenly these guys laid into me. They said nothing to me, just went on the attack, so there was no chance to feel scared or react. When I was on the ground I could hear Fabiana screaming for help, and I took a kick or two in the head and went unconscious.”

When I came to, there was blood everywhere from my head wound but I was lucky – they weren't worried about taking my eye out or head injuries when they were kicking. It was completely stupid and uncalled-for.

If they had confronted me and asked for everything we had, I would have handed over everything in my pockets, my wallet, anything. They took our watches and a few other bits and pieces, but I never carry much money or expensive jewellery. Most of Fabiana's stuff was just personal from Brazil and not worth much. They won't be going far on what they took off us.

Ecclestone was taken to the hospital after the attack, as he sustained minor head injuries. However, he was released by the medical staff in a few hours and appeared to work as if nothing has happened the very next day.
