The Superbus project is a very interesting one, attempting to combine mass transit, with luxury, safety, efficiency and speed all in one package. Its electric drive has a maximum power output of 804hp, which can be maintained for 1 minute, with a constant power of 402hp, giving it a maximum speed of 250km/h (156mph).
Recently, the Superbus got its official registration as a road legal vehicle, and it was driven by the Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, Melanie Henriëtte Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus, showing her support for the future development of the project.

The aim is to create high speed and very efficient coaches, which would be driven on special highways lanes at their maximum speed of 250km/h (156mph) in order to reach their destination quicker than anything on the road today, by our estimates it would even be quicker than train travel.

The idea is a very interesting one, and we’re curious to see if the project achieves its goals - we hope it does, as moving from one city to another in a 250km/h (156mph) definitely sounds like an awesome idea!
