Ducati Corse Unveils New Logo at EICMA 2009

After it has unveiled the new company logo at the EICMA Show last year, Italian manufacturer Ducati unveiled the new Ducati Corse logo at this year’s EICMA Show in Milan. The new logo, an evolution of the historic brand in the form of a new graphic, was presented to the international press prior to the official unveiling of the brand’s 2010 product range.

The new racing logo has reportedly already begun to show up in the United States, and once Ducati will deplete current usage of the old mark, it will work its way into Europe as well.

The Ducati racing division is currently being restructured. The Ducati MotoGP as WSBK teams were recently left without their project managers, as both Livio Suppo and Davide Tardozzi have confirmed leaving Ducati to take on a new professional challenge.

Tardozzi has been working for Ducati since 1999, first as Team Manager and more recently, since 2007, as the SBK project manager. In total Tardozzi has won eight Riders' Championships as a Ducati team manager.

Suppo has been working with Ducati since 1999, and his work for the Italian manufacturer’s has been highly appreciated by Ducati's general director, Claudio Domenicali, who also revealed the team will be restructured after Suppo’s departure.

Alessandro Cicognani will take over the project manager position instead of Suppo, while current Ducati test rider Vittoriano Guareschi will become team manager. It appears that Tardozzi will be replaced by Ernesto Marinelli, the team’s current technical director and the track engineer for Troy Bayliss.
