Ducati announces a new virtual location which is available for visiting using Google Maps, and this time it is Ducati Roma, the newest dealership in the Italian capital and the biggest presence in the city.
Ducati Roma comprises a showroom and a servicing area, and is an official outlet run by the Borgo Panigale group directly. The dealership was inaugurated in October 2013, in the presence of Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and other Italian celebrities, with Ducati MotoGP contracted rider Andrea Dovizioso and several other officials.

While Ducati expected a crowd between 700 and 800 for the inaugural night, the store keepers have been amazed to have more than 3,000 fans and enthusiasts visiting the store on its opening. Now it’s time to introduce to you the virtual version of the Ducati Roma showroom, the brand’s second such presence on Google Maps, after the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale.

It’s really nice to see that the virtual tour via Google Maps is building momentum. We can expect more manufacturers to follow Ducati’s example and we hope a more comprehensive list of important virtual places will be available soon. Museums, halls of fame, collections on display, like Billy Joel has, and more, they could become available for a much bigger and diverse audience.

Follow the Google Maps link for the virtual tour of the Ducati Roma dealership.
