No, it’s not that Ducati will produce more than the 500 units it said it would, and neither has Mr. Domenicali set out on a quest to find the next Superleggera customer. But the #123 Superleggera is in the Arlington, TX Ducati dealership, and it was listed for sale on ebay. However, since we’re dealing with a truly exclusive bike, the price you’ll have to pay is way higher than what it was initially sold for. The Ducati 1199 Superleggera had been made available with a price tag reading $65,000 (€48,075), and most of the units to be manufactured were already sold, according to Ducati. Now that the bike is out on the street track, the very few that remained without a home are selling with a significant premium - a 20-grand price increase!
That is, if you still long for a Superleggera, you must fork out $85,000 (€62,860) for the bike listed in Dallas, or at least make an offer the Ducati dealer will consider accepting. The #123 Superleggera is a brand new machine, straight form the crate and it has zero miles on it, making a perfect collector’s item.
Now, the bigger price may not be the best news for those who are still looking to buy a Ducati 1199 Superleggera, but those who got one and are thinking about selling it will definitely be happy to see that their investment’s value increased by almost 30 percent in such a short time.
