Drive-Thru Weddings, Vegas-Style Ceremony, Only Not in Vegas
Weddings have become over the years the perfect moment in someone's life, the perfect moment when anyone can come up with the stupidest idea and not be judged over it. Au contraire, the people around them seem to have only one reaction to this kind of ideas: “that's sooo sweeet!”
Taking advantage of the people's dumbness when the big moment arrives, a chapel in Quincy Massachusetts, is offering a very cheap, very fast wedding ceremony. In the simplest of words, the happy couple comes in the chapel's yard in whatever car they own, an individual authorized to perform the ceremony positions himself/herself in front of them, “do you - I do” and it's over. That'd be $75, please.
While we wait for McDonald's to react and include drive-thru weddings on the menu, Michelle Lydon, the owner of the chapel in Quincy is making some good bucks out of it. We have no idea where Quincy is on the map, so if she wants to make some more dough, probably she'd better think of more congested areas to open a franchise or two.
After all, you never know when being stuck in traffic makes a proposal pop in your head. “Look, honey, there's a drive-thru, let's do it now, we're not gonna make it to the movie's anyway.”
The main idea is this though: you can drive-thru your wedding, but marriage will be no walk in the park.
