There are plenty of people out there that view BMW drivers as the absolute worst. There are also a couple of reasons for such a bad rep and, as a BMW driver myself, I can understand some of the complaints. However, we’re not making our life easier either.
The video below shows exactly why people hate us and why almost everyone out there thinks that the only fitting words to describe us wouldn’t be allowed in a children’s book.
As far as we can tell, this footage was recorded during a Chechen wedding as the procession was driving to a nearby restaurant, to celebrate. At one point, a BMW E60 M5 driver simply decides this curve would be perfect for a sudden set of donuts.
So far so... disappointing, as he not only thought about it but also acted it out and, completely ignoring the other traffic participants, he starts drifting his car in the middle of the road. Then the fireworks come.
To show everyone that they’re not to be messed with, the backseat passengers pull out two AK-47 assault rifles and start firing in the air. Needless to say that probably everyone in the vicinity started ducking and fearing not to get hit by a stray bullet. Everyone but the cameraman, that is.
Why would you do that, you ask? Well, that’s what we’re wondering as well and have failed to find a logical answer. The Chechens are known to be hard people, hard to impress and intimidate. Not even the great Mother Russia couldn’t force them into submission, and that might be a way of showing they’re not afraid of anything, but it doesn't make sense in any way.
If I were a betting man, I’d have my money on the stupidity factor. That’s right, you have to be a special kind of stupid to pull off such a stunt. But then again, seeing as there are some Police sirens noticeable in the background and yet nobody has the courage to say anything to them, who am I to say that this is beyond stupid?
