Doug Henry Is Partially Paralyzed from the Waist Down, Still Does Backflips and Off-Road

This amazing video about Doug Henry is definitely one of the most inspirational mini-documentaries around these days. If you have a friend who is low on esteem after suffering an accident or who, because of less serious reasons feels like life is more or less over, do show him or her this video.

Free from all the motivational speeches so many people just throw around nowadays, this video is all about the facts and the will to carry on… and nothing more. No big words, not lousy slogans and quotes from “life-saving books” or magazines, no mystery winners in the eternal battle with reality. Prepare to watch determination and passion straight in the eyes and understand how much you still have.

It ain’t over till it’s over

A multiple AMA motocross champion and prominent sporting figure in the off-road world, Doug Henry has always ridden in the wake of danger… and on several occasions he slammed into it full-on. After multiple injuries in MX, of which one almost put him out of commission, retirement from regular bike racing came in 2007 when he broke his back again in 2007 in a supermoto race.

Even partially paralyzed from the waist down, Doug Henry is working hard towards a second big recovery, and even raced a Snowmobile in the X-Games 14, finishing third in the Adaptive class. We know it’s hard to believe that a man in his condition could do backflips on a bike or jump MX style on forest roads, but don’t take out word for it. Just hit Play and prepare to see what determined men can do.
