Well, it can't sound any worse, so the answer to that question is obvious, even before watching the video. But if there's a little roadster that deserves a sports exhaust, that's got to be the Fiat 124 Spider.
Built in Japan by the same people who assemble the MX-5, the Fiata is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, just like the 500 Abarth. The only thing is that it's a little down on power... and character.

Over in Europe, the standard model gets only 140 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. We also think the aural experience is inferior to that of the Subaru BRZ. All that would be okay if we were talking about a new Fiat Bravo, but the 124 Spider is supposed to be the most exciting Fiat in decades.

Remus is one of our favorite exhaust companies because they are quick to respond to what people want. Unlike Akrapovic, they also make systems for boring cars like Golfs and family wagons.

The first product launched by Remus for the Fiat 124 Spider is a cat-back resonated setup, so it's not vicious enough to put people off. As we expected, it also provides small performance gains: +3.5 hp, +8.8 Nm of torque and -2.1 kg.

The setup is made up of 60mm diameter pipe instead of the 54mm one installed at the factory. At the business end, we also have two 102mm pipes with carbon tips, and titanium internals with adjustable spherical clamp connection.

The price? Well, the axle-back system is the cheapest at €600 including tax, but you can also order a racing configuration that for €804. That one doesn't have EEC homologation, which is something to take into consideration when buying.
