Dodge Li’l Red Express Gains 1,000 HP Cummins Diesel [Video]
And we have further proof of than below. But wait just a minute. This is not an ordinary Li’l Red Express, but an insanely beefed-up one. Not that the truck was a mediocre one with that 5.9-liter police interceptor engine under its bonnet, but you really don’t have a clue about what you’re going to see.
Owned by Max Kirtley, this specific Dodge truck gained a Cummins 6BT turbo diesel inline-six powerplant, enhanced by Hamilton cylinder heads and cam, and two nitrous injection systems. Now grab a chair before reading that the output is rated at almost 1,000 HP and somewhere between 1,500 and 1,700 lb-ft of torque.
Sure, it’s not eco-friendly at all judging by the amount of smoke spewed by the tall exhaust pipes, but it must have been very entertaining for last weekend’s Bayou Drags crowd.
