Yes, the Mopar machine is a full hot hatch more powerful than the Benz and yet, as you'll be able to see in the video, this comparo makes full sense.

Then there's the aural side of the battle. And while the Hellcat obviously wins this part of the fight, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe isn't exactly something to go by.

Interestingly, even though we're dealing with a pair of insanely powerful machines here, both the Challenger Hellcat and the C63 S Coupe are on their way to getting even spicier versions.

We'll start with the muscle car, by remembering you that Dodge engineers are currently testing the Challenger Hellcat ADR. Those letter stand for American Drag Racer, with this incarnation of the Challenger getting considerably fatter rubber, a detail that will make quite a difference in terms of drag racing.

As for the Mercedes-AMG, the German automaker is working on the 2018 Mercedes-AMG C63 R Coupe. This obviously won't be biased towards straight line battles, being more a Nurburgring animal.

Both these mega-coupes are scheduled to make their debuts next year, which means we might just get to see a reinvented incarnation of the battle we have here.
