German tuner DMC is specifically known for producing stunning body kits for high-end sportscars and other luxury vehicles. So when we heard they were going to modify the already stylish Ferrari California, our expectations were high. And we must admit that just by looking at the picture they provided us of their Ferrari California Surfista, we are definitely not disappointed.
Instead of going over the top with modifications, the tuners have chosen to stick with the original lines the car had to offer, enhancing them with new details. The new kit has three aerodynamic components that replace factory ones.
First off, the new carbon fiber front diffuser is lighter and ads a sportier look to the nose of the car. DMC has also installed carbon fiber to the rear of the car, changing the rear diffuser and trunk trim. The body features a pearl white color with three black stripes that are as wide as the hood-scoop and go the length of the car.
The German customizer did not limit its efforts to the exterior, also creating a power package that adds 20 percent of power to the 4.3-liter V8 engine. Instead of the original 460 hp, the car now has 550 hp.
Other exterior features include a new set of 21 inch wheels, painted in black for the spokes with a white lip. The car now has better tires, 245/30Z R21 at the front and 345/25Z R21 at the back.
No announcement has been made about the total cost of the kit, but seeing as it’s made from carbon fiber it won’t be cheap.
