"There is a growing awareness in most of the world that we need to plan all aspects of our technological development with a view toward the long-term sustainability of our planet's resources," founder and CEO Alfred DiMora noted at the launch of the new company.
"This does not mean that we have to give up all of the pleasures of life. Instead, we should rethink the technology involved to create a thrilling experience on the water while we minimize our adverse impact on the environment. The key is an open-minded search for innovations that allow us to meet both objectives," DiMora continued.
Dubbed DiMora Jet Ski and part of the new Stealth series of electric jet skis, the watercraft eliminates the noise and air pollution that come with the traditional jet skis. The all-electric jet ski is capable of seating four and features solar panels to power systems and recharge batteries.
Other features include a rear-mounted camera and dashboard display, GPS, music and video entertainment system, removable cooler, onboard canopy and high-intensity underwater LEDs.
"Fossil fuels are a limited resource with related ecological problems. Electricity is increasingly being generated with earth-friendlier systems such as solar panels and wind turbines, so it is feasible and logical to base our recreation systems on renewable electricity rather than gasoline," concluded DiMora.
Unfortunately, DiMora did not reveal pricing or availability of its new Stealth series, but is expected to do so at a later date.
