Deliveries of the new BMW M4 Begin in Germany, First Crash already on File

The moment the world has been waiting for is here: the first official BMW M3 and M4 deliveries at the BMW Welt started this week, with plenty of smiling customers flying in from all over the world to pick up the keys to their cars.

The excitement was almost palpable but some people forgot just how crazy the new models are and how much torque they have on the rear wheels. Sure, the DSC will keep you in check when pushing the car hard but not even electronic systems can protect you when you go too far, as this young driver found out Monday.

According to the source, the man was racing through the city center and driving well above the speed limit. Going into a tight curve he lost control of the car and ended up running over a traffic sign and crashing head-on into two trees, totaling the car. The police says that the estimated total damage figure rises up to around €90,000, including the car, of course.

The man suffered only minor injuries, fortunately, the brand new Bimmer keeping him safe from his own mistakes. Too bad about that beautiful Alpine White M4 though but somebody had to break the ice, right?
