When you take away the favorite toy a rich person plays with, it’s like grabbing a kid’s candy while he's about to take the first bite. That is what happened with Deadmau5 when Ferrari sent him a cease and desist letter demanding him to lose the Nyan Cat wrap off his 458 Italia. Ever since, the millionaire DJ has been looking for a proper replacement.
It’s like he’s looking for the right way to take revenge over Ferrari or something. He ordered a McLaren P1 that should be ready this spring, bought a personalized Bac Mono one-seater and even went for an off-road vehicle. Like we said, it seems there’s nothing that pleases Zimmerman anymore and we can’t find another reason than the fact he can’t put whatever he wants on his cars.
Well, that seemed to be the case up until the clever people in the marketing departments realized there could be a money making opportunity here. Take Nissan, who offered Deadmau5 a GT-R for a trial promising they won’t mind a Nyan Cat wrap. Then there’s Lamborghini who has been teasing the electronic music DJ with their latest sportscar, the Huracan.
Too bad he scratched off the price he sold the Ferrari for, we would have liked to find out about that...

First, Joel took it for a spin to see how it feels on the road, then the car maker went for a teasing conversation on Twitter. Then he starts playing with some Huracan renderings, telling people he needs to buy one next. Well, with the recent post he made on Twitter, we’re assuming it’s now confirmed, Deadmau5 is buying a Lamborghini Huracan.Too bad he scratched off the price he sold the Ferrari for, we would have liked to find out about that...
