Dacia Duster LPG from Borel

This however is not stopping some entrepreneurs from trying to beat the manufacturer in offering alternative fuels for one of the most sought after SUVs on the market.
Borel, a gas powered engines specialist from France, managed to beat Dacia in offering an alternative powered version of the model, as it has equipped the Duster with the technologies required for it to run on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The system is available in two variants, either a 95 liters gas tank (4x2 version), or a smaller 61 liters one (4x4 version).
Both tanks are to be fitted in place of the spare tire in the back of the car. Borel is offering the system for both 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the Duster equipped with the 1.6l 16v engines. The estimated range of the gas tanks is 500 km (310 miles) for the 4x4 and 700 km (434 miles) for the 4x2.
The manufacturer of the LPG system for the Duster is offering a two year warranty for the systems installed on the customers' Dusters and three years for the vehicles bought from Borel.
The price for a liter of LPG in France is EUR0.72 ($0.9). The Duster is likely to become even more appealing to the local market as the VAT rate for the LPG is fully deductible.
