Dacia Duster Limo Is Romanian Overkill

It all started with a tip we received earlier today. A video of what seemed to be a Dacia Duster stretch limo was taken on Romania a highway between Bucharest and and Pitesti, where the Dacia plant is located. This immediately sparked our attention, and started doing a little digging.

A group made up of 23 masters students put this car together in 4 months, creating the world’s first and probably last Dacia Duster stretched limo. The Romanian crossover was a project vehicle for the Renault Technologie Roumanie program, and we’re glad to see it was put to good use.

The chassis of the Duster was cut in half at the B-pillars and 1.5 meters (59 inches) of sheetmetal were added. The extra space was crammed full of equipment that would allow the passengers to work from the comfort of the car.

The engine used by this heavy limo is the 1.6-liter petrol, which seems a bit underpowered for the job. But considering this is a project car for students, it’s still something very amazing and worth showing you.
