Continental issues a voluntary recall for their ContiMotion sport-touring tires. Around 1700 tires have been sold mostly in the US in 2011 and 2012, with only few units going overseas.
The specific tire is sized 180/60R16 and under certain conditions users might experience uneven wear, groove cracking and even belt lift. Even if there were no reported accidents caused by these tires, running them makes the respective bikes unsafe and thus the reclaim rather urgent.

Some of the most affected bikers are the owners of Honda Goldwing GL1800, and combining overloading with under-inflating leads to even bigger risks. Continental is currently trying to identify all the affected ContiMotion customers and will get in touch with them.

One can identify these tires according to the DOT number: if yours is DOT H60LJJE5110 through H60LJJE3811, then you should contact the retailer or Continental and see to it replaced.
