The Nysa borrowed most of its technical side form a Russian passenger car called GAZ-M20 Pobeda, which was launched in 1946, so you can imagine what kind of engineering we are talking about. If you pay close attention to the scenes shot from the interior, you’ll realize how much work they actually have to do in order to keep these vans sideways.
The Nysa was successful during Poland’s communist era, but it quickly lost any sales battle once democracy took over, as it couldn’t face the competition coming from Western automotive producers. Nevertheless, here it is, shining on our screens!
