Fast 8, the eighth movie in the successful Fast & Furious franchise, will also star actor Scott Eastwood.
The son of Clint Eastwood has confirmed he will be part of the cast of the next Fast & Furious movie on his official Instagram account. He did not specify what exactly he will do in the film, but Eastwood did say he’ll play a protege of Kurt Russell’s character.
Scott Eastwood also wrote an emotional tribute to Paul Walker, with whom he used to spend time doing leisure activities such as surfing, along with the fact that they traveled together. Furthermore, the late Paul Walker was also a role model to him and an influencing figure, which is an impressive statement considering the person making it is Clint Eastwood’s son.
Scott stated that it is a dream come true for him to be a part of the “FAST family,” and says he considers Paul Walker as his older brother. However, unlike other kids of celebrities, Scott goes by the name of his mother, and was credited under the name “Scott Reeves” in six of his roles, including one in Gran Torino, a movie directed by his legendary father.
Scott was also cast in Flags of Our Fathers, another film directed by Clint Eastwood. However, the fact that he's working with his dad doesn't mean Scott is a mediocre actor and needs help from his famous father to make it in the industry. He has 30 credits as an actor, 14 as a producer, and seems to be an all-around good guy.
The Fast 8 movie will also star Charlize Theron, who has already been confirmed as a villain. The other actors from the previous films are also confirmed to resume their roles, including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson.
In a year from Thursday, on April 14, 2017, Fast 8 is scheduled to be shown in theaters.
