BMW’s E46 3 Series was deemed as a classic years ago and the fans on this particular model surely keep the torch burning in their hearts. Living proof are the various tuned cars we see on the road everyday, even though the older model was put out of production nearly a decade ago.
Every time we see a special car like that we immediately tremble with emotion and anticipation to learn more about what hides beneath the skin. An E46Fanatics member owns one of the best looking Alpine White 330Ci models we’ve ever seen and he recently went to European Auto Source to get his wheels aligned. Of course, the guys didn’t miss the chance to take a closer look and see what tricks this thing has up its sleeve.

OEM look for the exterior

From the outside, a clean look was desired therefore, the owner (known as sillieidiot) decided to go with mostly OEM parts, completed here and there by custom bits and pieces. Up front we have BMW Performance gloss black kidney grilles and a custom OEM M-tech 2 front bumper with molded CS splitters as well as a Vorsteiner VRS vented hood.

The look is completed by a Challenge carbon fiber roof, custom OEM M3 fenders with grille delete, side markers and flat inner lips, OEM CSL rails, M3 mirrors and side skirts as well as OEM M-Tech 2 rear bumper and a Vorsteiner CSL trunk. Everything was covered in a layer of clear bra.

Small details changed inside the cabin

Step inside and you’ll notice that the same idea decorates the interior. The pedal covers have been changed with Pedal Haus’ creations while EAS contributed as well with some trims all around. OEM M3 Black non-sunroof headliner, ZHP perforated leather steering wheel and ZHP shift knob complete the design.

What about the technical bits?

The engine was kept stock, the aim probably being to keep it running for longer periods of time instead of getting the most performance out of it. However, a new exhaust was added to the mix, from Magnaflow along with Rogue Engineering short shift kit, stainless steel clutch line and new OEM BMW Performance brake discs with StopTech stainless steel brake lines.

The suspension was changed as well, now featuring Bimmerworld front adjustable endlinks, Hyperco springs, Mason Engineering front racing strut bar, OEM BMW front strut reinforcement plates, Rogue Engineering RSMs, Turner Motorsport adjustable camber arms, Turner Motorsport sway bar kit with rear adjustable endlinks and Vorshlag camber plates.

To finish everything off, a set of APEX ARC-8 wheels were added to the mix, measuring 18x9.5 inches all around, wrapped in Michelin PSS tires. This is one epic 330Ci!
