French carmaker Citroen is taking steps towards becoming as popular in Shanghai as it is on the shores of the river Seine, if not more. They've just released two teaser photos of a brand new sedan model, one that we have never seen before.
This compact model is likely called the DS4, since the long wheelbase C4 L sedan is one of the most popular model they sell in China right now. The design details are strikingly similar to the Wild Rubis concept, which was shown in Shanghai earlier this year.
Built locally by the Dongfeng Motor joint venture, the DS4 will likely feature a 1.6-liter four-cylinder TCE engine with upwards of 150 hp. Citroen's six-speed auto is likely the standard transmission of choice here.
The DS4 sedan looks unlikely to be offered in Europe, as not only does its name overlap with the DS4 hatchback, but Citroen has been unable to sell large numbers of its bigger DS cars.
