Citroen Lacoste to Enter Production
Well, we haven’t had the opportunity to chat with the Citroen Lacoste yet, but the editors at autocar are claiming that the vehicle’s answer to our question would be a definite “YES”.
The more-than-interesting concept will serve as a base for a production model that will hit the world sometime in the next three years.
Now don’t expect the final vehicle to use concepts such as “topless”. As it will be a series model it will use more classic solutions. However, it seems like many elements from the concept will make it to showroom floors.
The Citroen Lacoste will be a sister model for the Peugeot BB1, which will receive the “2009” name for production. The two vehicles will be underpinned by a shortened and widened Mitsubishi i platform. This will also be shared with the Citroen C-Zero and Peugeot iOn electric vehicles.
The Lacoste and the BB1 are expected to be produced in relatively limited numbers.
