Citroen DS3 Kenzo Debuts

The Citroen DS3 has a heavy burden on its fenders. Citroen is using the vehicle to show its premium ambitions, this placing the car in a fight with vehicles that have a history in the segment, such as the MINI Cooper.

In addition to that, the car is also the first one in the DS range, opening the road for a new development direction (the DS4 is also here, you can read about it by following this link).

One of the special things about the DS3 is the incredible level of customization offered by the French automotive producer for the vehicle. Both the exterior and the interior of the car can be tailored to suit the customers’ tastes, thus offering an exclusivity aura to every unit of the car.

However, the DS3 has been taken even further through a collaboration between Citroen and the Japanese perfumes, skincare products and clothes brand KENZO.

The DS3 KENZO features special graphics that can be found on the vehicles’ roof. The theme used on the outside has also made its way into the interior of the vehicle, being featured on the front and rear seats. The Citroen DS3 KENZO isn’t destined for production, as the project is a one-off.

This isn’t the only project of its kind. Back in spring, the French designer Yves Saint-Laurent created a special, one-off incarnation of the DS3. The car was used to cater for the transportation needs of the VIP guests attending the fashion house’s retrospective exhibition held in early March.

autoevolution tested the Citroen DS3. You can read the review here.
