Citroen DS3 French Pricing Unveiled

Citroen's DS3 model will officially go on sale in France in January, with prices to start at 15,400 euro. The range will initially include a total of five engines, gasoline - 1.4-liter 95 hp, 1.6-liter 120 bhp and 1.6-liter 150 hp - and diesel - 1.6-liter HDi with either 90 or 110 hp.

The car will be available in three trim levels, Chic, So Chic and Sport Chic, each of them obviously offering various standard equipment.

The weirdest thing is that the entry level Chic model, the 1.4-liter 95 hp, comes as standard with ABS, ESP, 6 airbags, cruise control, MP3 player and leather steering wheel but it doesn't include air conditioning. Consumers looking for climate control can choose the So Chic configuration that also comes equipped with LED daytime running lights and 16-inch wheels.

Last but not least, the top-of-the-range Sport Chic flavor comprises automatic climate, sports seats with Alcantara, 17-inch wheels and aluminum pedals.

The roof of the DS3 can be painted in four color contrasting the body: Onyx black, Opale white, Botticelli blue and Carmen rouge. Additionally, the rearview mirror housing and door sills can also be colored or chromed while the wheels and wheel center are also available in a wide array of paintings.

Interiors can be customized with 8 finishes available for the dashboard - air vents, instrument cluster surround and multifunction screens. The gearstick knob comes with a choice of seven trims. Furthermore, the upholstery leather is available in three colors, depending on the consumer's choices.
