Citroen DS3 Celebrating Its First Birthday

The DS3 has proven to be a landmark success for Citroen, both in terms of style and market success, so it’s only natural that the goddess’ modern incarnation should get the birthday celebration it deserves. As a result, DS3 owners from across Europe are preparing to come together to join the celebrations this Saturday,  2 April, as the multi-award winning DS3 turns one.

To mark the first year since the car went on sale, the carmaker is organizing a very special event at the Ferte Gaucher circuit near Paris. With more than 80,000 sold since the launch, attendance is expected to be high.

“The distinctively styled DS3 has inspired owners and redefined expectations in the supermini segment.  DS3 delivers responsive performance, sophisticated quality and boasts a striking appearance that makes it stand out from the crowd,”
Citroen says.

A total of about 200 DS3 owners are expected to arrive from across Europe, joining a multi-colored parade of all the personalized DS3s in attendance.

With the help of some expert instructors, the owners attending will also have the opportunity to take to the track in the critically acclaimed DS3 Racing, developed by the same engineers who have created the World Rally Championship DS3 WRC.

“DS3 has proven to be a landmark success for Citroen, and a celebration like this is richly deserved.  The reception from owners across Europe has been emphatically positive, and this event will be a real reflection of the DS3 spirit,” commented Marc Raven, Communications Director at Citroen UK.
