Citroen Announces Specialist EV Dealer Network in the UK

With the first deliveries of the C-ZERO underway, the Government’s Plug-in Car Grants in place and new car buyer interest in EVs reaching an all time high, Citroen looks set for success in Great Britain.

The carmaker has announced the appointment of 11 dealers, from its current network, to specialize in sales and servicing for its new full-electric city car, the C-ZERO. Know as the ‘Citroen Electric Vehicle Specialist Dealer Network’, they have been especially chosen to provide extensive geographical coverage of the UK and are located in larger cities that are associated with the government infrastructure support, known as Plugged-in Places.

All the specialist dealers will provide a demonstration car for test drives, plus an electric vehicle charging bay, complete with a charging post. They also have two nominated sales and two aftersales electric vehicle specialists who will be fully trained, with access to all the necessary special tools and equipment to prepare, service and maintain the new electric city car.

Customers interested in buying the EV will enjoy a £5,000 Plug-in Car Grant via a comprehensive ‘peace-of-mind’ package for both business and private users, with the C-ZERO available for lease at £415 per month (excluding VAT) over 4 years or 40,000 miles.  This offer includes the lease of the vehicle, the battery pack, and all scheduled servicing and maintenance.

The C-Zero is a nearly identical twin to of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, developed to make urban mobility easier with its compact dimensions, rapid charge and sufficient range for day-to-day trips. The car uses an electric motor that produces 64 hp and 180 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque.
